Have you heard of Alicia Keys and Beyonce’s song, “Put It in a Love Song”? If you haven’t heard of the song, let me share with you a portion of its lyrics. “Say you love me, say you love me and put it in a love song. Say you need me, say you need me and put it in a letter form. Say you want me, say you want and text me on my cell phone. Say you love me, say you love me and put me in a love song.”

The point of the song is, if you love someone, if you need someone and you want someone, there are many ways to show that someone your feelings. You can either write her a letter, send numerous text messages to her or you can sing her a love song.

You can use this technique in getting back together with your ex. I believe that music plays an important role in every relationship. I don't know why but there are songs that really have magic woven into the lyrics and the melody.

Have you ever tried serenading your ex when you were still together? If you haven’t, you better try it now. My husband did! In fact, singing was his way of courting me (see how effective this love technique is?). I could very well remember the night we became officially a couple. Under the moonlit sky, he sang me three beautiful love songs. It was very romantic, believe me, my husband doesn't possess a perfect singing voice but he can carry a tune. But not considering the voice, the gesture itself is very touching and romantic. Of course, I was completely blown away. I will always treasure that night for the rest of my life.

Our wedding photographer, who is also a close friend told me that in one of the weddings that he attended, the bride's dream was to walk down the aisle while the groom was singing to her. The problem was the groom couldn't sing a note. He was that bad. But on the day of the wedding, as the bride prepares to walk down the aisle, she was surprised that her groom, standing on the altar with a guitar on hand and started singing a song he himself composed for his bride. Our photographer friend told me that no matter how hilarious the groom sounded, his gesture was filled with so much love and thoughtfulness. This technique might be effective in getting back together with your ex.

Serenading doesn't necessarily mean that you have to sing, if you really can't sing but you know how to play the piano or a guitar, play a song for her instead. If you really can't do any of those, then you can dance with your ex. Or you can compose a song for your ex that way you can really speak about how much you want to get back together with her. But I will give you tip, when you do serenade your ex, choose a song that speaks of how you truly feel for him/her. To those you can't hold a tune, just choose a simple song with a simple melody that you can easily follow. Remember, it's the thought and gesture that counts.

Here’s another tip I can share with you in getting back together with your ex. This tip will need your creativity and will probably test your kitchen skills. Yes, one way of getting your ex back is by cooking or baking something for him or her.

But for those who doesn't know how whip something in the kitchen, don't worry, this writer is not a spectacular chef nor a brilliant cook. For some, I too am a beginner, still learning the ropes in the kitchen. Let's just say that I can bake well than cook well.

Anyway, there is this old saying that goes, "The way to a man's heart is through his stomach.” This line goes to show that food can indeed play a great role in a relationship; that food can also be used as a way in wooing an ex. In fact, ladies love it when their men give them a box of chocolates. Even in weddings, the wedding cake symbolizes the sweetness of the couple. But giving of chocolates is too old school and sometimes the sincerity of the gesture is questionable because its too common, too expected. So if you want to get back together with your ex, try to cook or bake for him or her.

When my husband and I settled in our new home, I vowed to myself that I will and I should learn how to cook so that I can feed my husband and myself. So for starters, I learned to cook for breakfast. Hotdog, bacon, meat loaf, pancakes and eggs in different styles. And I am always happy whenever my husband appreciated my cooking and gives me great compliments. I don't mind receiving constructive criticisms from him both because I know that I need to know the basics in cooking and because he cooks well that I do, I consider my husband as my mentor in the kitchen.

Before my husband and I got married, I enjoyed baking a lot. During the early years in our relationship, I remember baking a bunch of chocolate crinkles and place them in a nice tin can in the shape of a heart and gave them to my husband as a gift. And he loved them; in fact he kept the tin can and used it as container for my love letters.

Dress Good To Get Your Ex Back

This next tip on how to get back together with your ex can be used by both sexes. Meaning, this tip is not only applicable to ladies but this will apply with the gentlemen.

Again, when we are involved in a long term relationship, there are times when we tend to take for granted the little things that spiced up a relationship. Two of these things I have already brought up, which are writing love letters and going out on dates. The third is about dressing up.

Dress to impress does not only apply to job interviews, or taking out big time clients to dinner. It can also be used when you’re out with a loved one, or in this case, when you want to get back together with your ex.

I would like to share with you why this became my love technique. One time, while my husband and I went out, he commented that I always dress up whenever I go to work or whenever we go out with our friends but never when we go out on dates. When he told me that, I realized that my husband wanted me to look good when we're together especially if it’s just the two of us.

So after that, I made extra effort to look good for him whenever we go out together or even when we're just staying at home. I made sure that when my husband comes home, I look great even in shorts and halter tops or shirts. I also take time to put on some lotion, cologne so that I will smell good for him.

In getting back together with your ex, try to discover what it is that gets the attention of your ex or what he or she wants to see from you. Like in my case, because I'm not really comfortable wearing jewelries, especially earrings, whenever I feel like it, I'll wear a pair of earrings when my husband and I go out on a date. And that never fails to get a compliment from him. Just the other night, my husband told me that when he's got extra cash, he'll buy me a dress because he loves seeing me in a dress.

Maybe your ex wants you to shave often or there are others that want to see a grungier look from you. Maybe you can easily win your ex back by wearing clean casual clothes rather than your usual “I-don’t-really-care-how-I-look” clothes. So start prepping yourself, comb your hair, shave, get some clean clothes and you will probably be getting back together with your one true love.

Dressing up and looking good for your loved one is a wonderful love technique because it greatly helps in a relationship. It makes them feel important too. Makes them feel like we are trying to impress them. Besides, who doesn't want to hear a compliment coming from them right? And of course this works both ways. Weekly dates strengthen the bond of the couple and those people who wanted to get back together with their ex. With all the stress brought about by our jobs, dating can somehow take the stress away. And take note, talk only about each other, about your plans, and your dreams. Do not talk about problems or work related stuff because it will only ruin the mood.
